This was likely bought as a souvenir from a visit to Africa.
A really characterful decorative piece that would work beautifully as a fruit bowl, table centrepiece or simply displayed as a piece of folk art.
It has been hand carved from a solid piece of hardwood.
It appears to show men beating a drum to one side.
The diameter of the bowl is 22 cm x
7 cm tall.
Good vintage condition.
