The piece stands on a highly decorative base with eight-sided (octagonal) legs, each adorned with fine inlay work. A scalloped stretcher runs across the bottom, also inlaid, adding balance and architectural grandeur.

This cabinet is not merely functional storage – it is a statement of artistry, craftsmanship, and historic character. A rare survivor of the French Second Empire, ideal for collectors, decorators, and connoisseurs of fine furniture.
