Classic Yaesu shortwave receiver from the late 1970s/early 1980s.

Triple-conversion Wadley-loop design covering 500 kHz to 29.9 MHz (AM, USB, LSB/CW) across five bands. Sold as a working unit in need of attention - suitable for someone comfortable with vintage electronics and ham radio enthusiasts.

What's confirmed working: AM shortwave broadcast reception, tested with a wire antenna. LSB/USB/CW not tested.

Known fault: Previous owner fitted an LED display modification and one of the seven 7-segment displays is faulty - you can see the missing segments in the photos.

@meal0854 oh I tell you what I did clearly hear on USB on 14m was what sounded like FT8. Promising but definitely caveat emptor.

@meal0854 i clicked about with a few modes and was able to pick up AM broadcast SW with a length of wire out the back so tbh I don’t know about the modes.
