DIY vacuum pump for smd components
This has had very little use. It's a Tetra aps400 aerator, but I must have modified it to suck rather than push air (I believe I opened it and changed the position of a valve, it was probably 5 years ago so I can't remember. I'm sure it could be reversed if you want to use it as an aerator again)
I used it a tiny bit as a vacuum pump for placing smd components. It's attached to a plastic syringe with a hole in it, place your finger on the hole sucks the component up, release your finger and the component will release. From what I remember it's better than you think it would be! The photo is it holding a 0603 led
I have a bit of tape over the second port, works as it is but maybe this could be improved!
Comes with about 3m of hose. Have a few angled syringe heads I bought for ir you can have as well.
