Elsa Valentin, a divorced mother, is struggling to maintain custody of her son while coping with past trauma. At a children's birthday party, she spots a young girl named Lola and becomes convinced that the child is her own daughter, lost years ago in a hospital fire. Driven by obsession, Elsa infiltrates Lola’s life and befriends her mother, Claire. As Elsa’s behavior grows increasingly erratic, tensions rise between the two women, leading to a confrontation that forces buried truths to the surface.

Elsa Valentin, mère divorcée, tente de conserver la garde de son fils tout en affrontant un traumatisme ancien. Lors d’un anniversaire, elle aperçoit une fillette prénommée Lola et devient persuadée qu’il s’agit de sa propre fille, disparue dans un incendie à la maternité des années auparavant. Obsédée par cette idée, Elsa s’immisce dans la vie de Lola et se rapproche de sa mère, Claire. Son comportement devient de plus en plus inquiétant, déclenchant une confrontation intense entre les deux femmes et révélant des vérités enfouies.
