Remo Paulo Mattioli signature djembe, rope tuned

This 14” Remo Djembe is a Paulo Mattioli signature model, floating ring, rope-tuned, with a traditionally patterned brown kloth covered body, made in USA. They are quite rare (I’ve never seen another one) and I’d be fairly certain there is not another in Ireland. It incorporates a woven rope handle as well as a pair of shoulder strap D-rings. It features a Paulo Mattioli signature Nuskyn synthetic head for durability, tuning stability, and unique tone and resonance with crisp high end and very deep bass that will turn heads.

This may be the first one ever made. I purchased it directly from Paolo in Los Angeles when I was taking personal lessons from him. He brought it in his van, very excited it had just been given to him by Remo. The kloth covering was still soft and not even fully cured yet.

I brought it with me when I moved from California shortly after and has seen only light use in a few drum circles. It is in excellent condition. I will include a Remo Slider dual shoulder strap for playing while standing that I purchased separately.

This would be suitable for a collector or for someone wanting a sound and look to really stand out.
