@Fair Trade, a pity is one way of putting it :) I’m pretty incredulous those fixtures and fittings were literally dumped in error about 30 minutes before ur text. They are not going to be retrieved unfortunately. The plumbers say that stuff can be got separately but as it stands now it is just the panels & inverter without fittings.

The system is still on the roof as work here has been pushed out a week. So the working panels & inverter can be viewed.

Hi Ezra, while I am not very knowledgable in this area, I do know that we could have added in a battery to the system when we installed it, however the batteries were not cost effective at the time and that is the reason we never added a battery - nothing to do with the inverter not having that capability.

Hi Ezra the panels 12 years old but still working efficiently. The time is now 13:25 and apart from my own household consumption, the panels have exported 5kWh so far today.

They are Solon panels just over 12 years old. I believe they are efficient for 25-30 years.
