As part of the Homematic Smart Home system, the Homematic wireless motion detector reliably detects movements indoors and outdoors.

Thanks to the long-lasting battery power supply, the compact sensor can be placed freely on the wall or ceiling and operated wirelessly.

The sensor, which can be rotated 360°, detects movements in a detection range of up to 9 meters, with a detection angle of 90°.

In addition to the detection range, the trigger brightness can also be freely selected. Short-term fluctuations in brightness are reliably filtered out.

Setup and control
All Homematic products can be set up via a web browser-based user interface on the CCU central unit and controlled on the local network and via third-party software, even when you are on the move. Alternatively, all devices can be linked directly to other Homematic products without a central unit.

Security
The communication security between all Homematic wireless devices is based on universally accepted standards that are also used in online banking, for example. For eQ-3, security in the smart home system is not an option, but an elementary basic feature.

Interference immunity and range
By using the 868 MHz radio band, Homematic combines a long range with a high level of interference immunity. The products communicate reliably over a distance of several hundred meters. Interference from WiFi, video streaming or other users at 2.4 GHz is impossible. The Homematic RS485 wired bus system offers the right alternative for new buildings or renovations.

reliability
All Homematic devices communicate bidirectionally. The confirmation of the radio commands by the respective receiver makes the system particularly reliable and thus offers a decisive advantage over unidirectional systems. In addition, there is always clarity about the current status of all devices.
