History of RETOS Shannon Woodturning
While RETOS is widely known for producing vintage studio pottery (such as shamrock-patterned teapots and glazed jugs), they also established a dedicated commercial woodturning workshop in 1973
The Master Craftsman: Legendary Irish wood sculptor and turner Liam O'Neill was hired to set up and manage the woodwork section, running the facility for 11 years. Under his guidance, the workshop produced high-quality, exact-specification commercial tableware from native Irish timbers to be sold on the open market.
