John S.Brown 8" Egyptian Cotton Hand painted table cloth and 12 placemats

Where to begin..John S. Brown &Sons operated in Northern Ireland from 1860 up until the mid 20th century..They catered for the higher end of the market,where quality and detail were paramount.This original boxed set,I see as being 1930's and definitely not a whole lot later..The magnificent Egyptian cotton and Rayon hand painted table cloth is just over 8 foot long and a few inches over 5 foot wide.. Fabulous decoration,hand hemmed and the hand paintings are as bright and vibrant now as the day that they were created.There is a contrasting 12 ivory place mats to set the magical scene off..again hand painted and still extremely vibrant.. measuring 21x21"..This is a museum quality set..Irish,hand painted, Egyptian Cotton,hand hemmed..in it's original packaging and in wonderful condition.I acquired this from a very large household in North Cork.I will happily hold this and pass on to one of my own children if I cannot reach the asking price..Very reasonably priced..you won't find the quality in this boxed condition again.Registered post is included in the asking price.Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
