Vannes Le Chatel Crystal French Art Glass Centerpiece Bowl

French decorative bowl made of lead crystal by the Vannes-le-Châtel factory (often branded as Art Vannes France). It is a classic example of post-war mid-century modern design, characterized by an organic, flowing form reminiscent of a splash of water or a star.
The Vannes-le-Châtel glassworks was founded in 1765, but production of the luxurious lead crystal for which this bowl is known began in 1963.
