Vintage Italian Silk Embroidered Shawl / Tablecloth – 220 × 220 cm

Beautiful large vintage Italian silk textile, dating approximately from the 1960s–1970s.

Made from rich golden-yellow silk and heavily embroidered with large red roses, green leaves and trailing stems. Finished on all four sides with exceptionally long olive-green silky fringe, giving it a very dramatic and luxurious look.

Originally designed as an evening shawl or decorative table covering, but it also looks beautiful draped over a sofa, bed or used as an interior statement piece.

Approx. 220 × 220 cm, including the handmade fringe.
Silk with embroidery thread.
Italian origin.
Vintage, approximately 1960s–1970s.
Excellent condition and appears to have had very little, if any, use.
