That's great to hear. These machines just get left to rust so often, it's great to see them get a new life :)

I have serviced/repaired a couple over the last few years as a hobby. Missing parts is the biggest issue with used machines, but the photos on that ad show a very well-kept and organised machine. Also the brand of that machine is very common so if you need spare parts, they shouldn't be too hard to find.

A heads up, any machine that hasn't been used in a while will need the spongebar replaced. If the sponge is flat, you risk damaging the latch hooks when the carriage moves. You can buy one online or attempt to make your own.

There are lots of resources online if either of you get stuck setting it up or servicing it. Facebook in particular has machine knitting groups and a UK-Ireland buy-sell page that are invaluable. You're also welcome to send any questions my way. The learning curve for getting it set up and running can be daunting so if I can make it easier, I'm happy to help

alacticbear hey, I can't message you outside of an ad and I don't think the seller knows, but that knitting machine is a full double bed set up (main and ribber). It has the carriages for both beds, the normal sinker plate for main bed use and the other sinker plate that you use to join the main and robber carriages together. Definitely a fabulous set up, enjoy! :D
