This is Canapulo Grosso 0–25, a coarse hemp shiv made by the Italian company TecnoCanapa/Senini. It is the chopped, woody core of industrial hemp stalks—not cannabis leaf and not conventional animal straw.

Its main purpose is sustainable building work. Mixed with a suitable lime-based binder and water, it produces hempcrete, a lightweight, breathable insulating material used for:
