@babyminder1 the sides don’t come down. The corner piece pop off you take the middle bed out and the sides fall down on the bottom base. The middle bed has three levels as the baby grows you can adjust it down. It has wheels on 2 of the 4 feet, so you can move it easy. Hope that all makes sense
