.
For sale is a YOUNG TIMERS LEAGUE club membership badge issued by the Kentish Times newspaper during the 1930's. The Young Timers League was a children's birthday club associated with the children's section of the Kentish Times newspaper. As was usual for such children's clubs, on joining, the new member would be issued with a membership pack containing the handbook, offers, other information and the badge. From the 1920's through to the 1950's, there were hundreds of children's clubs and most of them associated with newspapers, each issuing their own attractively designed membership badge.
This badge shows the club's emblem of a running clock.
Despite its appearance, the enamel colour on this badge is a dark blue.
