WW2 RAF Supermarine Spitfire Artificial Horizon Mk.1B – Air Ministry – Dated 1942

An exceptional opportunity to own an authentic Second World War RAF Artificial Horizon Mk.1B, manufactured for the British Air Ministry and dated 1942. This iconic cockpit instrument was fitted to the legendary Supermarine Spitfire, making it a highly desirable piece for aviation historians, collectors and restorers.

The Artificial Horizon (Attitude Indicator) was one of the most important flight instruments, providing pilots with vital information about the aircraft's pitch and bank attitude during instrument flying and poor visibility.
