A superb and original WWII Royal Air Force Lighting Control Panel (Air Ministry Ref: 5C/3108), as fitted to Avro Lancaster bombers.
This external lights control unit managed the aircraft’s Navigation, Formation, and Recognition lights, and also allowed for light signalling in Morse code during periods of radio silence — a vital communication method during night missions and bomber operations over occupied Europe.
