WW1 Silver Wooden 'Fumsup - Touch Wud' Lucky Charm Antique c1914
Original WW1 ‘FUMSUP’ & TOUCH WOOD Soldier’s Lucky Silver Charm most likely dated to 1914
These charms were given to WW1 soldiers as a Good Luck token, that could be carried with them into battle.
It has a silver body with moving arms (with Thumbs UP) and a woodenhead.
On the front of the body is stamped the word ‘FUMSUP’ and on the back is an Rd No. 636612, which when the Registration Numbers are checked, dates this charm to 1914, the beginning of WW1.
Condition:
- Some signs of wear and patina due to its age
- The top of the wooden head has some scratches and dents
- A wire/loop in need of attention (de-attached from one side)
