WW1 1916 Dated Howitzer Shell Case Trench Art
Add a genuine piece of Great War history to your collection or home decor. This is an original, authentic British 4.5-inch Howitzer brass artillery shell casing, manufactured during the height of World War I in 1916.
Following its battlefield use, this high-quality brass casing was shortened and smoothed into a functional "trench art" bowl—a classic practice where soldiers or wartime artisans recycled heavy military brass into practical household items like planters, ashtrays, or desktop catch-all bowls.
