For sale is a Championships prize medal issued by the Welsh Women's Amateur Athletic Association (Welsh WAAA). This medal features a heraldic Welsh Red Dragon.

The WAAA was established in 1922 and in 1991 they were merged with the AAA (Amateur Athletics Association). Today, the main authority governing amateur athletics throughout Britain is Athletic UK.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 1 3/16" x 1 13/16" (29mm x 46mm).
Material(s): diecast metal alloy with 2 vitreous enamels.
Finish: gilt wash (light coating).
Fitting: bale & suspension ring.
Imprint: none.
Approximate age: late 1970's to 1980's

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. No damage. Some slight wear to gilt wash on the reverse side only.
