Vintage The Viking Balance Scales with Brass Bowl & Weights
Vintage cast-iron balance scales made by R.J. Thornton & Co. Ltd., Wolverhampton, with brass weighing bowl and the selection of weights shown.
Attractive original “The Viking” maker’s badge remains visible. The scales have age-related wear, including chipped paint, marks, tarnishing and surface corrosion. The bowl and weights also show wear and patina.
The scales balance and move, but their weighing accuracy has not been tested. Sold as a decorative vintage item or restoration project.
