Vintage St Brendan's Boat Wild Goose Studio Wall Plaque. Small signs of passing time on the left side but as this is a vintage piece it's in an excellent condition.

A currach or leather boat, with a helmsman urging on four oarsmen, as they strike heavenward--The boat is vertical on the original, amidst a sea of ctosses. Perhaps commemorating ST. Brendan, the Navigator, who in the sixth century with his crew of four monks may have discovered America long before the Vikings and almost 1000 years before Columbus. Replica from Kilnaruane carved pillar stone made at The Wild Goose Studio, Kinsale, Ireland. The piece is beautiful, 12.5 inches long by 5.5 inches wide.
