Vintage Salter Coin Checker scale, Model 353, made in England
Salter Coin Checker Model 353, made in England. A counter scale for checking bagged coins by weight, as used in banks, shops and pubs. The dial reads coin values directly for 1p/2p bronze, 5p/10p silver, 20p, 50p and the round pound, with no £2 scale, so it dates from about 1983 to the late 1990s. Heavy cast metal base and large metal pan. A good piece for a collector or for display in a bar or shop.
Honest condition: dial clean and clear, the pan is marked and spotted and the base is dirty from storage. It has a zero adjuster, so the needle can be set back to zero.
