Historically used in offices, hospitals, or clubhouses, these boards provided a visual way to track the presence of staff members. This features a manual sliding mechanism.
Key Features and Functionality
Sliding Mechanism: The wooden sliders move horizontally. When pushed to one side, they reveal the word "IN" and when pushed to the other, they reveal "OUT".
Staff Slots: Each row represents a different person. In a professional setting, nameplates would typically be attached to the blank wooden space on the left side of each slider.
Construction: It is crafted from hardwood with a simple, utilitarian design typical of early office furniture. The pull tabs on the left edge allowed users to easily toggle their status as they entered or left the building.
