Vintage Rockwell Brass Water Meter

For sale is an authentic vintage municipal water meter manufactured by the Rockwell Manufacturing Company in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
This is a heavy, solid cast brass/bronze piece featuring a beautiful, untouched natural patina. Flipping up the protective hinged lid reveals a completely intact, clear glass register face reading in gallons, complete with the rolling mechanical odometer counter and the iconic red sweep-hand needle.

Perfect for:
• Steampunk or industrial DIY projects (ideal for converting into a custom desk lamp, rustic bookends, or a unique paperweight)
• Quirky garden features or patio accents
• Historical tool and utility collectors
Specs & Markings:
• Serial No: 2015716
• U.S. Patents: 2487783, 2857763, 2858461 (Dates the design to the late 1950s / 1960s era)
• Size: Stamped 5/8" line connection threads
Condition: Very good vintage cosmetic condition. The flip lid hinge works perfectly, and the internal face dial graphics are bright, crisp, and beautifully preserved.
