Vintage Philips tube radio (Model B5X23A "Plano") from early 60’s.

Mid-century unit features a wooden case and a "Bi-Ampli" amplifier system. It covers various radio bands including LW, MW, SW, and FM (up to 104 MHz). Requires some functioning restoration, but is fully intact and original.

Hi Bob. The radio belongs to my father in law who is doing a house downsizing. He’s had the radio since new, but hasn’t used for a number of years. The radio was fully function but hasn’t been moved or turned on since - it has sat in the same space on the bookcase in the living room since 1970+. We plugged it in and it didn’t work. It may be the valves or something else….but I would imagine to someone who knows these things, it should be simple. The wooden case etc is original and in great Nick….remembering it hasn’t moved in years
