Vintage photography guillotine

Up for sale is a beautiful vintage "Jay-Nay" wooden guillotine paper and photograph trimmer.

Manufactured by the renowned J. & A. Wilkinson company in Manchester, England, this piece likely dates from around the 1930s to 1950s. It was originally a staple in professional darkrooms and vintage stationery offices.

Key Details:

Maker's Mark: Features a wonderfully crisp and perfectly legible "Jay-Nay" ship's wheel/mariner's wheel ink stamp on the wooden base board.

Build: Solid wood base with a built-in wooden measuring ruler across the top. Features the original turned wooden handle which is fully secure and free of splits.

Mechanism: Heavy-duty curved metal cutting blade attached to a robust torsion spring hinge.

Condition:
Honest vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina. The wood grain has aged beautifully. There is visible surface rust scaling on the metal cutting arm, side rail, and spring housing (as pictured).
