An exceptional vintage Murano sommerso bud vase by Vetreria Artistica Oball, Murano, Italy, complete with its original Vetri Artistici Oball factory label.

Founded in 1978 by renowned Murano glass master Luigi Onesto, Oball became internationally recognised for producing stunning multi-layered sommerso glass using traditional Venetian techniques. This elegant flame/teardrop design is a classic example of the factory’s sculptural style from the late 20th century. (20th Century Glass)

This piece features a deep cobalt blue core, graduating through aqua and fully encased in thick crystal clear glass. The beautifully concealed slit opening creates a sleek sculptural appearance while functioning as a bud vase.

Unlike many examples on the market, this vase retains its original Oball factory label, confirming its Murano origin.
