Large Lumium Ware 1950s Anodised Aluminium Serving Tray Made in England

Approx 550mm x 360mm. In Britain, nothing spoke of extravagance like Aluminium, the new lightweight wonder metal that for years had been used only in industrial applications. Lumium Ware was a range of anodised aluminium housewares made to the very highest manufacturing quality and sold at premium prices in high-end stores and for export. This beautifully milled anodised serving tray is a good example. Sturdily constructed around a masonite base, with gold and aluminium frame and handles, the tray is in excellent condition bar a few light marks from general usage and a small dent. No splits or cracks. It retains its original British Good Housekeeping Institute Guarantee Label. This tray is both practical and beautiful.
