Vintage J. Roybal Original Oil Painting – "Musicians" – 1970s Earth-Tone Aesthetic

For sale is a beautiful, hand-painted vintage original oil on stretched canvas by decorative artist Joyce Roybal (signed J. Roybal).
This piece belongs to the early-generation 1970s studio era, featuring a distinct earth-tone palette of deep ochres, warm browns, sages, and golds. It showcases the artist's highly collectible, whimsical "Puffy People" style, capturing two stylized children playing string instruments (a cello and a violin) at a music stand.
• Styling & Texture: The canvas features a heavy, structural geometric impasto texture overlay applied prior to painting. This technique provides incredible texture and a classic mid-century folk-art depth.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The oil paint layers and canvas are exceptionally well-minded, vibrant, and clean.
• Framing Note: Housed loose inside a simple, heavy dark wood external surround frame (open front with no glass, backing board, or inner mount). The stretched canvas block lifts straight out easily, making it incredibly simple to dust, inspect, or drop into a modern frame if preferred.
A perfect statement art piece for a music room, living space, or retro 20th-century home decor setting.
