Vintage ink pots
These are authentic antique salt-glazed stoneware ink bottles dating back to the mid-to-late 19th century (circa 1840-1880). The bottles feature a classic cylindrical "master ink" or "penny ink" shape with a warm tan/buff colour. These pieces of early office ephemera were handcrafted on a potter's wheel, evidenced by the slight variations in the glaze and the primitive, hand-finished lip. The salt-glaze finish provides a wonderful tactile texture and a subtle sheen characteristic of Victorian-era utilitarian pottery. These are sturdy historical pieces perfect for collectors of primitive stoneware or as a rustic decor accent. Damage as seen in photographs.
