Vintage French Grape Harvesting Hod
Large vintage French vineyard grape-picking hod, traditionally worn on the back during the grape harvest. Made from galvanized metal and retaining its original leather shoulder straps and harness.
A wonderful decorative piece with a beautifully weathered surface, remnants of old paint and genuine age-related patina from years of use. Would make a striking planter, log basket, umbrella/stick stand or decorative feature in a kitchen, garden or wine cellar.
Good original vintage condition with substantial age and wear throughout, as shown. I have deliberately left it completely unrestored.
