Vintage Framed Real Butterfly Collection With 8 Labelled Specimens

Striking vintage natural-history display containing eight genuine mounted butterfly specimens from Peru and Colombia, each individually identified with its scientific name and country of origin.

These are real three-dimensional specimens rather than prints, beautifully arranged behind glass against a neutral woven backing and presented in a deep wooden display frame.

The large lilac Morpho forms an impressive centrepiece, surrounded by long-tailed, patterned, white, yellow and iridescent blue butterflies. The balanced arrangement gives the piece the wonderful character of an old museum collection or cabinet of curiosities.
