Vintage Driving Books Bundle. 1954 UK Highway Code & 1990 Irish Learner Guide
Pair of nostalgic, vintage driving guides from the mid-to-late 20th century. Ideal for a car enthusiast, garage shelf decor, or a collector of Irish/UK transport memorabilia.
Selling together as a bundle:
1. The Highway Code (1954 Edition): Published in the UK by Her Majesty's Stationery Office (HMSO). Features separate instructions for children and the elderly, plus vintage "First Aid on the Road" rules on the back. Has the Minister for Transport's printed signature inside. Shows typical cover wear, spine aging, and some back cover water marking consistent with its age, but fully intact.
Passing the Test: A Guide for the Irish Learner Driver (1990 Edition): Written by Dominic McGinley and published by Dublin’s Anna Livia Press.
Features a brilliant retro cartoon cover illustration and back-cover reviews from racing driver Rosemary Smith and broadcaster Derek Davis. Shows minor edge curling, light cover creasing, and typical page yellowing.
