Vintage Diecast Pencil Sharpeners x3 Clock, Spinning Wheel & Playme Piano
Set of three vintage die-cast metal novelty pencil sharpeners, each fully articulated with moving parts. A lovely find for collectors of vintage stationery, novelty sharpeners or mechanical miniatures.
1. Mantel Clock Sharpener - Hand-cranked mechanical clock design with a cream dial, Roman numerals, and an exposed brass-toned gear train on the reverse that turns visibly when the crank is worked. Aged patina consistent with genuine 1970s manufacture.
2. Spinning Wheel Sharpener - Detailed miniature yarn/spinning wheel on a trestle frame, marked "MADE IN HONG KONG" to the base. The large wagon-style wheel turns freely and drives the bobbin mechanism.
3. "Playme" Piano/Chest Sharpener - Miniature upright piano with a hinged, ornately embossed lid and a "keyboard" grille to the front, branded PLAYME. Playme was a Spanish (Valencia-based) toy manufacturer active through the 1970s-80s, well known among collectors for this exact style of diecast novelty sharpener.
All three show honest age: green-grey verdigris/oxidation patina to the metal, minor surface rust in spots, and general wear consistent with genuine vintage pieces. Mechanisms on all three move/articulate as intended.
