Vintage Chinese-Style Octagonal Wine or Scroll Box
Tall vintage Chinese-style octagonal wooden presentation box decorated with black script over a red finish.
The hinged box has brass-tone locking hardware, ring handles and a gold-coloured script lining. It was probably made as a wine-bottle, scroll or decorative keepsake box, although its precise original purpose has not been confirmed.
Shows age-related wear including scratches, scuffs, finish loss, lifting or damaged covering around some edges, tarnishing to the metal fittings and marks inside. No key or contents are included.
Please examine all photographs carefully for condition.
