Vintage cannon
vintage die-cast metal toy field gun cannon, manufactured in England by the Crescent Toy Company between the 1950s and 1970s.
Key Details & Features:
The Mechanism: This model features a spring-loaded breech plunger and a manual brass elevation adjustment screw. It was originally designed to shoot small plastic shells or matchsticks.
The Ammunition: The dark metal rods shown in the final picture are the original vintage lead/metal play logs (shells) used as the cannon's ammunition. Finding a toy cannon with its original ammunition still intact is uncommon, as these small pieces were easily lost by children.
