Vintage Azizoff of London Onyx Marble and Brass Table Lighter 60s or 70s

Beautiful vintage table lighter by Azizoff of London, likely dating from the 1960s or 1970s.

A wonderfully substantial and decorative piece, made from heavy genuine onyx marble with a brass-toned lighter mechanism. The creamy translucent natural stone has lovely variation and gives the piece a very elegant mid-century look.

Measures approximately 6.5 cm in diameter at the base.

It appears to have had very little, if any, use and still retains its original internal instruction sticker for refilling with Newport gas using a Penguin adaptor head.

There is a small area of fine surface cracking to the onyx beside the lighter fitting, visible in the photographs. Otherwise a very attractive vintage piece with some natural age-related patina to the metal.

Please note: the lighter is empty and has not been filled or tested by me, so it is being sold as an untested vintage collectable/decorative item. Anyone wishing to use it as a functioning lighter should have the mechanism checked and follow the appropriate manufacturer’s instructions.

A lovely piece of English vintage design and a particularly attractive addition to a desk, study, home bar or drinks cabinet. Also a great collectable piece of vintage tobacciana.
