John was born Southsea near Portsmouth as a son of Emma Stewart. Lived 28 St.Johns Rd, Newport. Worked as a civil servant. After the war continued to work in the post office.
John was died 24 Aug 1931.
Service
Enlisted 27 November 1914. Landed in France 3 Dec 1914. Became entitled to 15 Star trio. Discharge 23 Jul 1919.
