For sale is an enamelled membership badge issued by VERULAM ANGLING CLUB at St. Albans in Hertfordshire. The club have their own fishery for breed stock trout as well as owning a freehold of 500 yards along the river Lea. This badge displays the club's emblem that includes the Arms of St. Albans' town. The Verulam Angling Club was established in 1934 are still active.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 1" x 1 3/16"(26mm x 31mm).
Material(s): brass metal with 3 vitreous enamels.
Finish: gilt.
Fitting: pin.
Imprint: none.
Approximate age: 1950s to 1960s.
CONDITION:
Good condition. Pin in working order. Gilt partially worn on high relief areas. Some surface marks in the enamels but these are only noticeable on magnification.
