For sale is a WW2 period (1942-1946) badge issued by the USAAF (United Stated Army Air Forces) Technical Training Command. It would have been worn by an air technician of their Air Training Command, responsible for technical training of air mechanics, as well as teaching pilots how to fly the aircraft. The Air Training Command was in operation from 1942 until 1946.

This badge displays the three feathers, each representing the three components of the USAAF: the Air Corps, Aircrew and Ground Crew. Their motto SUSTINEO ALAS could be roughly translated as 'I Sustain the Wings' or more commonly known then as "keep 'em flying".
