For sale is a small vintage enamel badge issued by the Universties Mission to Central Africa (UMCA). This badge may have been issued to a mission worker or issued as a fund-raiser.
The UMCA was an Anglican Church missionary society established in 1857 and was closely associated with the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, and Trinity College Dublin.
In 1965 the UMCA merged with the the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (SPG) to form the United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (USPG).

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 9/16" x 9/16" (14mm x 14mm).
Material(s): brass metal with 1 vitreous enamel.
Finish: gilt.
Fitting: pin.
Imprint: COLLINS LONDON
Approximate age: 1930s to 1960s.
CONDITION:
Very good condition. No damage. Gilt worn, commensurate with age and use. Pin in working order.
