Two Historical Documents.

Two historical documents: Moral Principles and Social Principles by Alfred O’ Rahilly. Both in excellent condition. Published by Cork University Press in 1948.
Alfred O’ Rahilly (1884-1969) was an Irish Academic with definite controversial views on both electromagnetism and religion. He qualified in Physics and taught it in UCC, but was opposed to current thinking in electromagnetism and also went against Einstein’s theory of Relativity. He also wrote against applying the theory of evolution to human society. He believed that Cork had no social science curriculum and so volunteered to teach economics alongside physics . He served for a time as a TD for Cork, became President of UCC. He also became a priest after his wife died. He was a member of Cumann na Gaedheal, and was linked with Sinn Fein. He was first cousin to “ The O’ Rahilly” one of the founding members of the Irish Volunteers and who died during the Easter Rising in 1916. He founded the Cork University Press in 1925.
