For sale is a souvenir/merchandise badge depicting one of TOWNSEND THORESEN car ferries with its distinctive orange and blue livery. The badge is well detailed and also includes their TT monogram on the funnel. This type of badge would originally have been sold to passengers on Townsend Thoresen ferry ships as a souvenir of their journey with them. Made by the renowned badge manufacturer, Squire Badges of London.

Townsend Thoresen was a major British ferry company operating across the English Channel and North Sea to European ports from 1968 to 1987. The company was bought by P&O in 1987 and rebranded after the tragic capsizing of the Herald of Free Enterprise (Zeebrugge disaster).

Material(s): brass metal with 3 vitreous enamels.

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. No damage. Pin in working order. Badge actually looks better than in its photos.
