For sale is an enamelled badge originally sold by British Railways at stations across the country to raise funds for the St. Christopher's Railway Servants Orphanage (Derby) for boys and girls.

This badge shows The Swan (II) motorised ship which was launched in 1936 along with her sister-ship The Teal (II). Originally owned by the LMS (London, Midland & Scottish Railway), their ships were sold on after nationalisation of the railways in 1948 and today both ships are preserved, running excursion tours on lake Windermere in the Lake District.

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. No damage. Pin in working order. Some minor wear to the gilt plating on the front side.
