For sale is a scarce Chaplain badge of The Girl's Brigade. A Chaplain in the Girls’ Brigade can be either an ordained member of the clergy or a suitably qualified lay-person whose role is to offer pastoral support to Company leaders and spiritual guidance on behalf of their church/mission.

The Girls' Brigade is an international and interdenominational Christian youth organisation. It was established in 1964 from an amalgamation of three similar organisations: the Girls' Brigade of Ireland (1893), the Girls' Guildry of Scotland (1900) and the Girls' Life Brigade of England (1902). Their international HQ is based in Derbyshire, England and the Girls' Brigade operate in over 50 countries worldwide.

Material(s): Brass metal with 3 vitreous enamels.
Finish: Gilt.
Fitting: Pin.
Imprint: 'MW' monogram for Manhattan Windsor Ltd of Birmingham.
Approximate age: c.1968 to 1970's.

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. No damage. Enamels intact. Pin in working order.
