For sale is a vintage enamel badge of THE CAMPING CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN & IRELAND. This club was established in 1901 by Thomas Hiram Holding (1844-1930) and who was considered as "the father of modern camping". Since 1983, the club has been known as The Camping & Caravanning Club and is a separate organisation from the Caravan & Motorhome Club (formerly The Caravan Club). Ireland formed its own Camping & Caravanning Club organisation in 1971.
