Super Vintage Collection of Six Religious Depictions
Here is a truly beautiful collection of vintage religious objects..as follows.
1. A mid century brass/gilded bronze crucifix on a mahogany cross..The piece measures 40x24 cms and weighs 640 grams.The cross has etched in it " made in Ireland and Jesus carries a Germany stamp on the rear.The weight of the piece indicates to me that this well may be gilded Bronze.
2. This is a superb hardwood depiction of Christ in a crown of thorns.The detailing is of a very high standard and the use of wood grain on the neck and hair bring it to the next level.It is 21 cms tall,9 cms deep and 14 cms wide.It weighs an impressive 940 grams.
3. This is a mint condition Donegal China Parian ware depiction of Our Lady of Knock.It is 28 cms tall and 11 across the base.This is an eighties piece that came from a rectory.
4. This is a chalkware depiction of Saint Philomena.It is 21 cms tall and 6 cms across the base.Very very minor paint loss,with the colours still bright and vibrant.
5. This is an English Parian ware depiction of the Virgin Mary.It is 18 cms tall and 4 cms across the base.It is in mint condition and it signed on the base.
6. This is a porcelain depiction of the Sacred Heart.It is 17 cms tall and 4 cms across the base.Thwre is paint loss on this from many years of adoration.
