Souvenir Libretto-Programme for Roméo et Juliette, the Royal Wedding Gala at Covent Garden, 4th July 1893. The marriage took place on 6th July.
Nellie Melba took the role of Juliette which earlier in 1889 had established her status in Britain. With the Polish tenor, Jean de Reszke ,also reprising his role as Romeo. Contains: List of performers, acts, score with libretto. 98pp. Bound in silk covered boards
Condition: Cream silk covered boards has staining - gilt titles still bright - gilt edges to text block - text block firm with very minor handling marks - some foxing to inner rear covers - see all images for condition.
Dimensions: 7 1/8" high x 5 3/8" wide x 3/8" thick
A now scarce collectable Royal souvenir which will be a great addition to any collection.
